Stratton Terrain Parks: Progression Laps or Big Ben Boardercross?

JustSkiing TeamJuly 14, 20262 min read

Choose Stratton’s park by feature size and purpose. Its current park page identifies Tyrolienne for the smallest progression features, Betwixt for small-to-medium laps and Big Ben for boardercross.

Current published park roles

ParkRole / access orientation
TyrolienneExtra-small/small boxes, rails and jumps for progression.
BetwixtSmall/medium park underneath American Express.
East Byrnes SideMedium/large rails and boxes with a halfpipe; American Express laps.
Big BenBoardercross course in Sun Bowl, with berms and rollers.

Where does Beeline fit?

Beeline is not listed on the official park page reviewed for this update. Do not use an older name as evidence of a current small-feature park. Check the day’s map, feature signs and park report for the layout actually built.

Choose a session, then inspect it

  • For first park practice, start with the smallest suitable features and consider instruction.
  • For a progression session, repeat a controlled feature before increasing size.
  • For boardercross, choose Big Ben only when the course and your speed control suit the day; it is a different objective from rails and jumps.
  • Inspect approaches and landings, communicate before dropping and clear the landing promptly.
  • Skip closed or unfamiliar features. A park’s general size label does not settle every feature’s difficulty.
