Choose Moonbeam for a day-visitor plan built around its services, or the Village around your lodging and meeting point. Make Honeycomb Canyon a separate terrain decision after the base plan is settled.
Which base fits the morning?
| Base | Official visitor-guide role | Practical choice |
|---|---|---|
| Moonbeam | Day parking, tickets, rentals and ski school | Start here when your booked services meet here; confirm the exact check-in location. |
| Village | Lodging, dining and retail | Start here when staying in the Village, with the first lift and meeting point identified. |
Do not assume a transfer is effortless
The bases are distinct. Before splitting a group or choosing parking, check the current map and winter transport information for the actual connection. A lesson booked at one meeting point does not relocate automatically because your lodging is elsewhere. Avoid relying on an old shuttle timetable or parking rule.
- Put the rental and lesson locations in the arrival plan.
- Agree on one named regroup point for the group.
- Choose a complete suitable first lap close to that plan.
- Identify how you return to the parked car or lodging before moving to another sector.
Honeycomb is an optional objective
Locate its current signed access, intended descent and return on the official map before entering. Ask patrol if unfamiliar, and match the specific terrain to every skier’s ability and the day’s snow. An open access lift does not settle those questions. If the route is unclear, ski a familiar suitable lap from your chosen base instead.
For a different outing, the Nordic first-day guide covers a separate venue and ticket decision.
