Roundtop’s Discovery learning area, Minuteman and Exhibition are different progression decisions. In particular, Lower Exhibition and Upper Exhibition do not share the same difficulty rating.

Progress by control, not lift size

Before leaving the learning area, be able to stop deliberately, link turns and manage speed without relying on a flat finish. Before moving to a blue run, ask an instructor whether you are ready for its full pitch and current snow. A lift being open does not establish that every descent from it suits you.

A useful family plan

Keep a repeatable meeting point near the base and agree on the specific run before boarding. A learner can stay in Discovery while a more experienced skier laps a suitable chair; there is no need to take the whole group onto an unfamiliar pitch. Check the current trail report and signs before using any of these examples.
